When a client tells me they want to incorporate their horse, wide-open field, and a true western style into their maternity announcement, my photographer heart literally sings.


There is such an effortless, grounded romance to ranch life. Blending classic southwestern elements; raw denim, crisp hats, and blooming bougainvilleas. We photographed this session on location surrounded by rustic corrals and sun dappled fields. Adding their horse into the frame brought a natural, calming presence to the gallery. Horses are so intuitive; having her pause softly alongside the couple added a feeling of depth and stillness that can't be scripted.
